The GRIPS and IDS are hosting a Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Fellowship program to start UK-Japan collaboration in capacity development
The GRIPS and Institute of Development Studies (IDS), UK are hosting an Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Fellowship programme focused on policy issues, funded by the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation. The programme honors two global leaders in AMR, Dame Sally Davies and Mr. Yasuhisa Shiozaki, and is a part of a broader ?1.5M Japan-UK partnership led by Professor Chris Dowson of Warwick University. The two selected fellows, Dr. Alicia Demirjian of the UK Health Security Agency(UKHSA) and Dr. Nobuaki Matsunaga of the National Center for Global Health and Medicine(NCGM) in Japan, will spend three weeks in Japan for training and research.

On Dec. 16th, the GRIPS Forum invites Mr. Shiozaki as the speaker and the fellows as panelists on: "Antimicrobial Resistance: The Slow Pandemic and Global Call to Action ---A Decade of Progress and the Future Directions".
