From September 19 to 20, 2024, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) conducted a two-day executive program for 42 members of the Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines (PBMLP), upon the request of the PBMLP, under the supervision of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). It was the second time we conducted this program, following the first session in July of this year.

The theme of the training was “Transformative Leadership: Enhancing Local Governance through Evidence-Based Policy Making towards Administrative Reform and Crisis Management Innovations.”

During this program, lectures and discussions were held on topics including "Healthcare System and Policy in Japan," "Administrative Reform and Innovation," "EBPM (Evidence-Based Policy-Making)," and "Climate Change, Its Impacts and Adaptation." The sessions were led by Professor Taichi Ono, Professor Tsuyoshi Yoshimuta, Professor Tadashi Yokoyama, and Professor Kazuaki Takahashi from GRIPS. The program was directed by Professor Hirofumi Takada, Vice President and Director of the Executive Development Center for Global Leadership, GRIPS.
