GRIPS and PCG co-hosted a webinar on Japanese foreign policy on January 18, 2023 with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Dr. Yusuke Takagi of GRIPS gave a lecture entitled, " Japan and Southeast Asia in the context of evolving Indo-Pacific maritime order", in which he discussed Non-traditional security and international cooperation, Japan’s "Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)" policy and the characteristics of Japan’s development cooperation. The webinar, which attracted about 58 participants, was moderated by Ms. Lejanie Dy of PCG.

During the discussion session, participants raised various questions such as the influence of China in the Indo Pacific and the future of the international order.
