GRIPS conducted training programs in response to a request from the King Prajadhipok’s Institute (KPI) in Thailand. Sessions took place on April 27th, 2010 for Clerks of the Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) in Thailand.

A group of 54 trainees headed by Associate Professor Woothisarn Thanchai (Deputy Secretary General of KPI) visited GRIPS in the morning and attended a lecture entitled “Local Public Personnel Management System in Japan” by Professor Kiyotaka Yokomichi. In the afternoon, the group visited Saitama Prefecture. They attended lectures about the Saitama Prefectural Administration and its assembly given by officials of the SPA.
