GRIPS President, Board of Trustees and five international students paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Minato City, Tokyo.
On March 11, 2025, President Hiroko Ota, Board of Trustees member Masako Kurosawa, and five international students paid a courtesy visit to Ai Seike, the Mayor of Minato City, Tokyo.
During the meeting there was active discussion with Mayor Seike on topics such as making Minato City a more foreigner-friendly place to live; gender equality; means of increasing the participation of women in public policy; and collaboration between Minato City and GRIPS on evidence-based policy making. The discussion also touched on specific plans for future collaboration between Minato City and GRIPS. All in all, the meeting was meaningful and productive.
