As part of the measures to prevent a recurrence of the information security incident that occurred in September 2022, GRIPS will follow the procedure for GRIPS account deletion as follows, as a result of organizing GRIPS accounts and reviewing some of the GRIPS account grantees.

1. GRIPS accounts to be deleted

(1) Account used by professors emeritus

GRIPS professors emeritus who have retired and continue to use their GRIPS accounts

*GRIPS will continue to contact you, so please provide your personal email address where we can contact you to the IT Team below.

(2) GRIPS accounts that are no longer needed

As of August 1, 2024, those who are not employed or enrolled in GRIPS and continue to use GRIPS accounts or have received an account deletion notification email.

(3) Accounts used by alumni

GRIPS students who continue to use their GRIPS accounts after graduation

*A new alumni networking platform (GRIPS alumni platform) has been launched in place of the alumni database. Please see below for details and register on the platform.

2. Account deletion schedule

(1) Website publication (this notice)

(2) Email notification (notified as soon as it is ready)

(3) End of February 2025: Suspend the use of GRIPS accounts to be deleted indicated above. Alumni accounts are scheduled to be suspended at the end of January 2026.

(4) End of June 2025: Delete data in the account. Data deletion for alumni accounts is scheduled for the end of May 2026.
