On July 15, 2020, a Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Collaboration was concluded between the National Management Institute (NMI), Egypt and GRIPS.

Due to under the current COVID-19 pandemic, the signing ceremony was held online attending a three-member led by NMI Executive Director Sherifa Fouad Sherif and President Akihiko Tanaka, Executive Vice President Kiyotaka Yokomich and Vice President Yoko Kijima at GRIPS.

During the meeting, the two institutions discussed plans for deepening their academic exchange as well as research and training program through a variety of activities.
