President TANAKA Visits the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China (Chinese Academy of Governance)

Recognizing the importance of building a policy community linking China and Japan, GRIPS has been promoting exchanges with the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China (Chinese Academy of Governance) since 2005.
?
On December 21, 2018, President Tanaka visited the Central Party School in Beijing and held a seminar entitled “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Challenges to China and Japan” with the school’s faculty members. After President Tanaka’s keynote speech, reflecting comments by Professor Liu Jianfei, Director of the Institute for International Strategic Studies at the Central Party School, and other participants, there was an exchange of views on the global roles that Japan and China can play in the work toward the SDGs.

After the seminar, President Tanaka and Vice President Chen Li of the Central Party School met and shared recognition of the importance of further strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two schools so as to make an even greater contribution to the world.
