On December 4, 2018, Dr.Charles Murigande, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Rwanda, visited GRIPS and met with President Akihiko Tanaka. Prior to being appointed to his current post, Dr. Murigande served in a number of high positions, including Ambassador of Rwanda to Japan, and Rwandan Minister of Education and Minister of Cabinet Affairs.
