On July 3, the delegation of Vietnamese National Assembly headed by H.E. Mr.Uong Chu Luu, Vice Chairman of National Assembly and other members including Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong visited GRIPS.

At GRIPS, the delegation met with President Akihiko Tanaka. He talked about the Japanese co-operations for Vietnam’s development as well as the courses and training programs provided at GRIPS for many Vietnamese high ranking officials.

Prof.Masahiro Horie (Director of Executive Development Center for Global Leadership) provided a lecture on the specific themes requested from the delegation, such as systems to check political, administrative and judicial organizations, administrative reform in the central and local governments, and anti-corruption systems and measures. The members were keen on the lecture especially on the issues related to the systems and management of Japanese government and judicial courts.

Vice Chairman Mr.Luu gave an address of thanks to GRIPS for providing opportunities to study and wishes more Vietnamese officials to learn from Japanese experience in the future.
