MOU on Academic Exchange and Cooperation Signed between ADB and GRIPS
On May 28, 2015, a Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Exchange and Cooperation was concluded between the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and GRIPS. A four-member delegation led by ADB President Takehiko Nakao visited GRIPS to attend the signing ceremony. The MOU spans the next three years. During that time, the two institutions plan to deepen their academic exchange through a variety of programs and activities such as seminars, conferences, and workshops.

After the signing ceremony, President Nakao made a well-received presentation titled “Asian Economic Outlook and the Role of the ADB” in Sokairou Hall at GRIPS.

On the same day, a separate Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Exchange and Cooperation was concluded between the ADB and the Institute of Developing Economies, Japan External Trade Organization (IDE-JETRO). GRIPS President Takashi Shiraishi serves as President of IDE-JETRO.
