The entrance of 85 new students marks GRIPS’ 10th year
On April 2, 2009, an entrance ceremony and guidance were held for 85 new students in the following programs: 6 students in Doctoral Programs, 2 students in the Policy Analysis Program, 1 student in the Public Policy Program (domestic), 10 students in the Development Policy Program, 29 students in the Regional Policy Program, 4 students in the Cultural Policy Program, 6 students in the Intellectual Property Program, 17 students in the Urban Policy Program, 9 students in the Education Policy Program, and 1 student in the Public Policy Program (international). They are part of GRIPS’ 10th year student intake and include the first students enrolled in the Education Policy Program.
At the entrance ceremony, President Hatta expressed his expectation that the new students would study hard and make use of what they learn at GRIPS. Following the President’s address, Vice-President and Dean Tatsuo Oyama congratulated the students on their enrollment in the school.
After the entrance ceremony, each program held an academic guidance. In the afternoon, there was a guidance on student life, the use of GRIPS facilities, and course registration.
