On 18 December 2008, the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) and the Local Autonomy College signed a partnership agreement.

The agreement aims to formalize cooperation between GRIPS and the Local Autonomy College to enhance education and training of human resources in the field of local government and local administration.
