At GRIPS Forum on November 25, 2024, H.E. Mr. PARK Cheol-Hee, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, the Republic of Korea to Japan, gave a lecture titled “Why is the Republic of Korea - US - Japan cooperation necessary?”.

Abstract:
The improvement of the Republic of Korea – Japan relations is one of the greatest achievements of the Yoon Suk Yeol administration, which led to stronger trilateral cooperation between the Republic of Korea, Japan and the US.
The cooperation between the Republic of Korea, Japan, and the US is not confined to serving the interests of those three countries, but is also a mechanism that contributes to regional stability and peace, and even to maintaining global order. As the global security environment becomes increasingly severe, the importance of the trilateral cooperation is further growing.
