At GRIPS Forum on October 17, 2024, Dr. Hiroshi Nakagawa, Team Leader, RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project, gave a lecture titled “AI ethics, laws, trust and agent”.

Abstract:

The establishment of legal systems relating to AI is progressing worldwide. In this presentation, we introduce the EU AI Act which is a major AI regulation law. We will also introduce the AI Treaty that is currently being worked on by the Commission of Europe, which may have an impact on Japan in the future. Next, as a future challenge, we will introduce the structure, trust, and issues of AI agents that act as personal representatives, which is an important application of AI.
