At the 51st GRIPS Forum on July 4, 2011, Prof. Hideo Furuido, Professor of the University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, gave a lecture entitled “The Charm of Kabuki.” In this forum, he explained and introduced many things about Kabuki such as the origin of kabuki, kabuki’s specific movements. Audience members said, “This lecture really triggered my interest in kabuki and kabuki culture,” and, “I found out something new about kabuki.”
