The 39th GRIPS Forum“Turbulence in the Global Airline Industry: Dealing with problems facing Japan’s airlines”
At the 39th GRIPS Forum held on 15 November 2010, GRIPS invited Mr. Kenichiro Hamada, President, CEO, ANA Strategic Research Institute Co., Ltd., to deliver a lecture entitled “Turbulence in the Global Airline Industry: Dealing with problems facing Japan’s airlines.”
The airline industry is currently a hot topic due to issues like open sky mega-competition, and it was a prime opportunity to listen to Mr. Hamada, who has extensive familiarity with the airline industry. He explained clearly about the features of the airline industry, increasing global competition, and Japanese airport issues.
At the Q&A session, he respectfully answered questions about the role of the government in the airline industry and so on.
