The 36th GRIPS Forum“Japan’s Security Policy and the Future of the Japan-U.S. Alliance”
At the 36th GRIPS Forum held on 12 July 2010, GRIPS invited Dr. Noboru Yamaguchi, professor, National Defense Academy of Japan, Lieutenant General, JGSDF (Ret.), to deliver a lecture entitled “Japan’s Security Policy and the Future of the Japan-U.S. Alliance”.
Dr. Yamaguchi talked about Japan’s position and roles in the world, and the changes in Japan’s security policy and its future in consideration of the global strategic environment.
He emphasized that we should not miss this opportunity to seriously discuss the issue of our stance in the Japan-U.S. alliance.
He answered questions respectfully during a Q&A session. ?The lecture was very fruitful and made a strong impression on the audience.
