The 3rd GRIPS Forum“Local Governance in Japan: Perspectives from the Eight-year Experience as a Governor”
Ms. Ohta, former governor of Osaka Prefecture, and served two terms as Japan's first female prefectural governor, gave a lecture on Local Governance in Japan. Ms. Ohta presented her lessons and suggestions on more constructive central- local relations, based on the experiments as a Governor. The lecture was the third in a series of fora that feature leaders from government, academia, and business, as well as GRIPS' own faculty to discuss current policy concerns.
