Abstract:
USAID Dairy Project was designed as the Public Private Partnership (PPP) between USAID and Nestle Pakistan to improve the economic lives of Pakistani small dairy holders who were stuck in the subsistence farming and were unable to break the nexus of perpetuating poverty. For the purpose, a home-grown solution and a local implementing partner was developed to take on the task on hand. The project in six years increased incomes of 49,000 small dairy farmers, created 9,000 new jobs in the rural economy, and helped 6,000 women to become socially and economically active.
