At the 163trd GRIPS Forum on 15 April, 2019, Mr. Yuichi Itabashi, General Manager, e-Strategy Management Office, Tokyo, FUJIFILM Corporation, gave a lecture titled “Digitize or Die, Innovating in Marketing for Surviving in Disruptive Time”.?

Not a few established companies face a crisis in Disruptive Innovation these days.

Some close the door and some survive. FUJIFILM had lost its core Business early 2000’s, but still growing and boasting record profits. While the Photo Film Market was declining, FUJIFILM started to diversify its business into outside of photo industry by innovations with its unique and outstanding technology rooting photo industries. FUJIFILM is no more photo company.

To develop a new market quickly, our team in Tokyo HQ is taking an initiative with digital marketing technologies as a global marketing hub.

In this session you will know how historical company struggling to survive out of the disruptive crisis and the challenge to innovate the marketing with digital technologies.

Speakers’ Profile:

Joined Fujifilm Corp. in 1985. As a Chemical Engineer for R&D. After 10 years, he developed an innovative digital printing technology, switched his carrier into a business for Product planning & Business Strategy for digital photo printing at Electronic and Photo Imaging Div.

At Photo Imaging Div. he took an initiative the revival of instant photo system “instax”.

In 2012, General Manager of e-Strategy Management Office.

Taking an initiative of the Digital Marketing for Global Fujifilm Group.
