Students can register for courses during the registration period and can withdraw from courses during both the registration period and the withdrawal period. For the exact dates of these periods, please check the Academic Calendar web page.
- During the two-week registration period at the beginning of each term, you can register for and withdraw from courses. You can only register during the registration period. Please note that no credits can be earned for courses that you complete without registering.
- After the end of the registration period, you can only withdraw from a course during the withdrawal period. If you withdraw during the withdrawal period, your transcript will show a W grade for that course. You cannot withdraw from a course after the end of the withdrawal period.
Note: There is no withdrawal period for the Summer and Winter terms, since most Summer and Winter term courses take a short-term, intensive approach. In the Summer and Winter terms, you can only withdraw from a course during the registration period; otherwise you must successfully complete all course requirements to avoid getting a grade of E or F.
